Matilda / by Zander Ford

The water erupted

A snowcrash of white icy lava

Spewed Forth uninterruptedly

As she leapt twice her body

Arcing inverted crescent moon

Smashing liquid air

With her bravado of joy

ocean slapped her salty skin

landing an animal love-grenade

Returning a familiar glance

To her heavenly ancestry

Before descending once more

depths of knowing fluid flesh

Subsumed in oceans of homecoming’s

Sub-aquatic terrain
